The Open Zone Deer Tag is one of 5 tags that is valid during the authorized season dates of any deer hunt, using the specific method and meeting any special conditions of the tag for that hunt. A tagholder may take any legal buck, using any legal method of take for hunting deer. Fund-raising license tagholders who receive a deer tag pursuant to Sections 708.1 through 708.3 (the general lottery) shall be allowed to exchange that tag under the provisions of subsection 708.4. Tagholders shall not be entitled to obtain more than two (2) deer tags as described in subsection 708.1(a)(1). Tagholders shall report to the Assistant Chief, Law Enforcement Division at the appropriate Department of Fish and Game Regional Headquarters prior to hunting as to the time and area they intend to hunt. It is described in Title 14, Section 360(d)(2).
