Hello I am Swiss Watchmaker Anthony Vierra, owner of American Chronometers and I am proud to offer a special handmade watch built to support the efforts of Wishes for Warriors. The watch was designed in house by Air Force Veteran Marshall Nichols and myself, inspired by four Veterans who received Purple Hearts for their service. The design of the watch invokes the heritage of vintage service watches of World War II. The case is 44 mm and stainless steel made in Zurich Switzerland and delivered to Boise Idaho for final finishing here in my shop. The dial is white enamel, with vintage style lume adorned with the American Chronometers and Wishes for Warriors logos. The watch features a sapphire crystal dial side and a sapphire display back with Medal recipients names laser engraved. Under the crystal display back you will find a hand wound Swiss movement finished and assembled by my hand here in Boise Idaho. The strap uses calf skin as a base and then has donated uniform material bonded and sewn on. As a finishing touch the strap will display four Purple Heart ribbons donated by these brave Veterans. The watch will be hand assembled by me and placed in a display box built by Veterans. This completely handmade watch will take nearly 100 hours to complete and would normally cost around $10,000. It is my great honor to collaborate with so many service members in the creation of this watch. It will be an incredible addition to any collection and a lasting tribute to the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
American Chronometers – Wishes for Warriors 1:1 Commission
Created in tribute to four purple heart recipients, Wally Fanene – US Army, Erik Galvan – US Marines, Daniel Nield – US Air Force, & Derek McGinnis – US Navy, this stainless steel timepiece is meant to embody the individual sacrifices service members make in defense of our country.
Representing the four combat branches of the United States department of defense, these four individuals fulfilled their oath in the most selfless way, taking wounds in the performance of their duty.
Working hand-in-hand with the Wishes for Warriors organization, the design of this timepiece was a collaborative effort, not only between organizations, but with the veterans themselves.
Four purple heart ribbons were received from these service members, and applied to a combat worn, USMC battle uniform to create the strap. The case and dial are classic variations on a field watch with dress intentions. Durable, finely tuned, and steeped in American heritage, this piece is reflective of everything that makes the United States Armed Forces the greatest fighting force on Earth.
